Guldmann 2024 donations:

Emerald M
Therapeutic Riding Center

United States

Emerald M Therapeutic Riding Center offers a peaceful and therapeutic environment for children aged two to eighteen looking for non-traditional therapeutic options through interaction with horses and highly trained staff.

The center provides physical therapy using hippotherapy, reading intervention, adaptive riding, emotional and behavioral health support, and therapeutic alternatives for pediatric cancer patients, as well as children with autism and other social challenges.

Through equine-assisted therapies, Emerald M aims to bring hope and healing to children, helping them rediscover a sense of self and providing opportunities to thrive despite their challenges.

These children come from a variety of backgrounds and face significant difficulties—some are in the foster system or have been recently adopted, while others are undergoing or recovering from cancer treatment, managing debilitating physical conditions, coping with emotional or behavioral challenges, struggling with learning disabilities, or recovering from trauma.

The center also serves children of active-duty military personnel and disabled veterans. The Riding center offers a break from the sights, sounds, and smells of a clinical setting, and the horses provide strength and a place of peace to their participants throughout their healing journey.

The mission of Emerald M Therapeutic Riding Center aligns perfectly with Guldmann's 'Time to Care' philosophy, and we are proud to support their work with a donation.

The money will be used to hire a much-needed full-time occupational therapist. They currently have a covered arena for their therapeutic activities, but it needs lighting. Additionally, they are looking to offer scholarships to provide therapeutic services at no cost to certain eligible participants. If a child in need comes to the facility, they are never turned away due to financial issues.

Emerald M shared their gratitude, stating:
"Emerald M Therapeutic Riding Center is thrilled to receive a $10,000 grant from Guldmann, Inc. Through Guldmann’s generosity we can build capacity through occupational therapy. This will allow us to enhance our services to children experiencing physical, emotional, and social challenges by improving their ability to perform daily tasks, resulting in increased confidence and an opportunity for independence. Guldmann’s substantial donation allows us to continue building upon our mission - hope, renewal, and growth (the meaning of the emerald gemstone). Through equine-assisted therapies, we strive to bring hope into the lives of the people we serve, provide them with a renewed sense of self, and give them an opportunity for growth. We are grateful for Guldmann’s generosity and partnership."
