"A Day For Better Ways"
This spring, Guldmann participated in a forum / workshop hosted by our distributor in Australia, HLS Healthcare, targeted at industry people to share ideas, learn from each other and find “better ways” to ensure injury-free care.
The objective was to have a forum where past and current processes were assessed as well as solution-finding techniques in the healthcare industry. Living can mean many things, to many people. How do we inspire the industry to strive for excellence in all facets of healthcare and welcome the possibility of a Better Way for all solutions?
Twenty-six participants from within the industry attended the two days (one in Sydney and one in Melbourne).
Aideen Gallagher from Risk Managed spoke on creative risk management principles and introduction to the overhead hoist system and facilitated a workshop which supported participant led exploration and discussion. The workshop challenged participants to use creative risk management techniques to explore and discover ways overhead hoist systems can be used to avoid manual handling.
Anders Haugaard from Guldmann Consulting spoke on a new and different use of hoists and slings as well as fixed hoists vs flexible hoists.
Adrian Tota from HLS Healthcare spoke on posture for better living where patient and nursing injuries were explored hands-on with possible posture solutions for each case.
