Guldmann rails for ceiling hoist systems are now made from 100% recycled aluminium

The same strength and safety, with a significantly lower carbon footprint

Guldmann is taking another step towards more sustainable welfare technology. Our ceiling hoist rail systems in Europe are now manufactured using 100% recycled (post-production), significantly reducing their carbon footprint compared with conventional aluminium, without compromising strength, safety or durability.
Since 2025, both fixed and freestanding rail systems have been supplied with “green” rails.

100% recycled aluminium means:

Significantly lower energy consumption during production
Less extraction of raw materials and less waste
A lower overall carbon footprint throughout the product’s entire life cycle

The high quality and long service life of the rails also reduce the need for replacement, further lowering their overall environmental impact.

The CO₂ reduction achieved with Guldmann rails is based on documented data from our aluminium suppliers and measured against GWP (Global Warming Potential). The carbon footprint of different types of recycled aluminium varies considerably depending on the material’s origin and processing. It is therefore important to compare documented data on a consistent basis.

At Guldmann, we are fully transparent about the environmental impact of our materials, enabling customers to make informed, fact-based decisions.

For a standard 16 m² room-covering system, the saving is 230.67 kg of CO₂. This corresponds to a 62.4% reduction in CO₂ emissions compared with a system supplied in conventional aluminium.
