The GH3 Twin ceiling hoist comprises two GH3 lifting modules and uses two lifting straps. This module is designed for lifting and moving heavy bariatric people, and is also ideal for horizontal lifts in combination with Guldmann Horizontal Lifters.
To secure the lifting hanger – typically a GH Cross Hanger – a GH Connecting Bar is used to hold the two lifting straps, ensuring that the straps lift in parallel. The two lifting modules are controlled from a single hand control unit. When working with a GH Horizontal Lifter, it is possible to control the two lifting straps independently so as to adjust the horizontal position of the patient.
The ceiling hoist is easy to operate and helps make lifting and moving procedures safe, simple and comfortable for user and care staff alike. The GH3 Twin has a lifting capacity of up to 500 kg.
Reddot award-winning design
The prize was awarded with the following observations from the panel of judges:
"With the GH3, the developers manage to create a ceiling hoist system that would blend harmoniously into the surrounding architecture and not look like a technical device. The GH3 is therefore characterised by a simple, elegant design that communicates high value and functionality. Developed for versatile application and different work processes, it can be used in all lifting and transfer situations and includes features such as automatically recharging batteries, low rolling resistance and intuitive hand controls."
