Elizabeth Seton Children's Center

United States

Elizabeth Seton Children’s is a pioneering provider of care, education and hope for children with some of the most challenging medical conditions any person can face. The center provides the entire around-the-clock continuum of medical, educational and therapeutic services.

Elizabeth Seton Children’s serves more than 3,000 children annually across its united organizations. The organization also helps patients’ families travel, find places to gather, and have peace of mind. An example of this is Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center’s Home to Home program. This is the initiative that strengthens family bonds, supports children’s families (nearly all of whom are low-income) and creates an environment of home.

Elizabeth Seton Children’s wants residents and their families to spend time together as often as possible. The organization pays for travel costs – MetroCards, Metro-North tickets and car services – incurred by families with financial challenges and uses adaptive vans to facilitate visits.

Ipads were essential at the height of the pandemic, allowing the children to connect with loved ones, but are still frequently used for virtual visits. Elizabeth Seton Children’s also uses technology when isolation is required due to illness, exposure or infection.

Break

Guldmann has been aware of Elizabeth Seton Children’s Center for quite some time and had the opportunity to previously work with this organization. We have seen the amazing work this organization does firsthand, and we could not pass up the opportunity to contribute to this incredible program. That is why in August of 2024, a couple of Guldmann teammates visited Elizabeth Seton Children’s and donated $15,000 towards the Home to Home program.

The Senior Vice President of Advancement, Brian Harrington, stated that:

“The $15,000 grant generously contributed by Guldmann, Inc. to our Home to Home program will greatly enhance our ability to connect children and young adults with significant medical complexity to their families. The donated funds by Guldmann will support transportation for families that otherwise could not travel to see their children and technology to facilitate a connection between children and families and loved ones when children have to be medically isolated due to their conditions. Simply put, the funds compassionately donated by Guldmann will allow a family to be a family even during the most dire times. It will allow them to connect, bond and create memories as a traditional family connects, bonds and creates memories.
Thank you.”
