Help with lifting the upper body
Some transfers and care tasks also require lifting the upper body of the bedbound patient/resident.
These tasks can include:
- Putting an X-ray cassette under the patient
- Washing their hair in bed
- Raising them higher up in bed
Physically weak patients might struggle to raise their upper body, and may therefore need help.
