Changing Lives at NZCIS

The New Zealand Campus of Innovation and Sport (NZCIS) in Trentham, Upper Hutt is a new state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility; our distributor, Active Healthcare, has supplied and installed a Guldmann ceiling hoist system in the pool area of the facility.

The ceiling hoist is used for easy transfer in and out of the pool for rehabilitation and therapy. The user in the images had not been upright since his accident, and he was able to enjoy the experience of both being repositioned with the sling and hoist system as well as being lowered into the pool with a therapist close by helping him with therapy.

Many Guldmann slings are suitable for pool use. The Guldmann sling used in this case is the Basic High that can be used in bathing situations.

The entire facility is an investment of over NZ$30m and includes a comprehensive campus designed to help people of all levels of ability.
