Changing Concepts
Many disabled people have to endure inadequate and dirty toilet facilities within the UK: schools, public buildings, hotels and many more do not offer the basic facilities. There is an answer to this widespread problem: a Changing Place toilet - a large accessible toilet with an adult-sized changing bench and hoist.
The layout recommended in the BS8300 British Standard intends to provide a room with sufficient space to have a person with disabilities and one or two carers assisting in toileting and changing/showering.
A ceiling track hoist, which covers the whole room, should be provided wherever possible to enable a person to be transferred conveniently between their wheelchair, the changing bench, WC and washbasin.
Recognising this, ROPOX and Guldmann have come together to create Changing Concepts, using a network of distributors across the UK ensuring that there is always someone close by. Our service and installation staff are all fully trained in all our products for Changing Places, offering not only what is required but doing so with design in mind, providing quality products and a dignified solution.
